Pumpkin Spice Hot Chocolate

This is not an everyday type of a drink, but it is a nice treat on a cold winter day.  Since I am starting to feel better finally,  I have been craving a nice big mug topped with whipped cream and cinnamon.   Chocolate curls or sprinkles would be fun toppings as well.

 

Ingredients:

3 cups milk

1 cup canned pumpkin

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp ginger

1/8 tsp cloves

1/8 tsp nutmeg

1 tsp vanilla

4 oz chocolate chips

A pinch of salt

 

Directions :

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, stir together the milk, pumpkin, and spices. Let it simmer.
