Turkey Taco Lettuce Wraps


1 tbsp coconut oil

¾ yellow onion, chopped

1 lb ground turkey

1 tbsp chili powder

1 tsp ground cumin

½ cup tomato sauce

½ tsp paprika

Romaine lettuce leaves (doubled up for serving)

Grated cheese, diced onion, diced tomatoes, or whatever toppings you like

Directions :

In a non stick pan, saute the onions until they are soft. Add the turkey and garlic and cook until no longer pink. Add the chili powder, tomato sauce, paprika, cumin, and chicken broth. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for about 5 more minutes till the sauce thickens slightly. Spoon over lettuce or tortillas.

    This looks like a nice simple recipe that would be a great workday dinner. Thanks!
    The directions say to put in chicken stock but the amount isn’t listed in the ingredients. Is it just enough to blend the spices into the meat?
