N loves fruit snacks, but I am a little worried about the weird ingredients in the store bought ones. Thankfully these are easy to make and a good way to sneak in some veggies, too.
3 T of carrot puree
Fresh lemon juice
1 pint fresh strawberries, diced
Honey (enough to sweeten)
Preheat your oven to 175 degrees. Line a large size baking sheet with a silicone baking mat. Blend the strawberries until smooth and add enough honey to sweeten and a splash of lemon juice. Pour the mix in a prepared pan and spread it out evenly into a thin layer. Bake for about 4 hours till the center is set. Allow it to cool before cutting. Cut into strips or little bites and store in an airtight container.
